About Taos

"When in Taos…"

Taos Village is a beautiful area, rich in history, land, culture, dining and diversity. You'll find all kinds of things to do here, but if you need some ideas, here are some things Barbara likes to do when in Taos.

Restaurants / Drinks
  • Visit the Trading Post Cafe
  • Joseph's Table in the la Fonda hotel on the plaza
  • The Taos Inn. A good bar!
  • Downtown Bistro... ask for Marco!
  • Anaconda Bar at el Monte Segrado, The Green Resort. (Cool place for drinks and apps.)
  • Lunch at the Apple Tree on Bent St.
  • Orlando's (Northern NM food. The BEST!)
  • Grahmn's Cafe
  • Gutiz (lunch/brunch)
  • Apple Tree (lunch/brunch)

Music
  • Get a paper.. if you see Michael Hearne or "South by Southwest" playing anywhere... Go!
  • Also good, Jimmy Stadler
  • Vanilla Pop "lounge lizzard" act... a riot!!

Galleries
  • Any Gallery on Ledoux St.
  • Michael McCormick Gallery
  • Navajo Gallery (RC Gorman exhibits)
